Semi Homemade Kalakand

October 23, 2007 at 6:44 pm 15 comments

Inspired by Indira of Mahanandi’s Kalakand ,I tried my own version making it semi home made with ready made ingredients like condensed milk and paneer. After tasting this semi home made version of kalakand and it is just too good and ‘ perfect ‘is what I could only say.It took around 20 Min’s to make this one. In a sturdy, heavy bottomed pan,I added 1 can of sweetened condensed milk and once milk started forming bubbles,I added grated paneer(I used half of store bought paneer cube – ‘Nanak’ paneer).Stir in together for 10 Min’s or more until it form to a thick sturdy mass.Spread this onto a greased plate and garnish with choice of nuts and cut into desired shapes after a while. Tasty ,fresh, semi homemade kalakand is ready in Min’s.
